What Were They Thinking When They Put This Thing Together???? – I have wanted a ladies’ household tool kit for a long time and had this on my Amazon Wish List hoping that someone would buy it for me for Christmas. My daughter gave it to me for Christmas 2011. It is now April 2012 and this frustrating thing quickly landed on my “Hall of Shame” list of items that could have been great but were not. I can barely express how unhelpful this overwrought, poorly designed kit is.

It’s pretty heavy! Love the quality and the color. – I was looking for a cute little tool kit that comes with a drill and this fit the bill. It arrived well packaged but I was quickly disappointed as soon as I opened it.

Good quality, general household toolkit – This is a nice household toolkit. The cordless screwdriver is great. Most kits like this have 3.6v drivers—this one is 4.8v. The extra bits are in two red bases that are clearly marked with bit size and style. The hammer has a nice weight and feel. The 12ft retractable tape measure is sturdy, and has a typical locking mechanism. The level is a bit longer than ones I’ve seen other kits, providing a little extra comfort that the picture you’re hanging is level. The adjustable wrench is short at 6 inches—handy for small jobs and tight spaces. In the past, I haven’t had much use for jobsite scissors, but these may prove me wrong—the handle has bottlecap (screw-on caps) grippers I may find myself reaching for. The blades seem sturdy enough for thin metal or wired cords. Then there’s the typical putty knife/scraper, a snap-blade cutter, electrical tape and some miscellaneous fasteners.
