Very pleased with these lights! – My experience with solar lights is a lot of times they are not that bright…not so with these! We put them in a palm tree at our beach house and they have worked great. In fact, I have bought more for another palm tree. They are easier to install if you leave them “wrapped up” like they come out of the package. They were also super easy to set up, ours were charged right out of the box. Thank you!!

Test them before to make sure they work – I bought 2 boxes of lights. The first one was so great that I bought another. The second box was not so good…I turned both on, placed in sun and wrapped a tree just like I did the day before but one of the strings does not work…. Test them before you wrap a tree trunk.

It doesn’t take much sun to charge units – These were easy to set up. I recommend keeping the light string loosely intact as you wrap the lights around whatever you are putting them on. 1st one I didn’t and spent several extra minutes untangling them. Only had 30 minutes of sun for the 1st few strands I put up and they stayed lite the whole night. Had to wait until the next night for the others I put up as the sun was going down. But they look great! They also have different modes for how you want to light to appear. Good value too. The strands seemed very long and covered a lot of area.

I love these lights! – I don’t know why people don’t like these lights. They’ve been great! If it’s a sunny day I get almost 12 hours of light out of them. The mode issue I read about is not making any sense either. During the day, I put the mode I want on and at night that’s what I’ve got. It doesn’t change modes unless I change it. Not sure why these get complaints. They’ve been exactly what I needed them to be. I’d give them a shot if you need lights where you’ve got no electricity.

Somehow the two strings don’t have the same modes – The lights are nice and bright when they get enough sun. They come on at dusk and stay on until the early morning. However, one of the strings keeps changing to different modes when it first comes on in the evening. I just want both strings to stay on and yet one of them keep flashing, twinkling and fading. I tried to change them both to a twinkling setting but they somehow don’t have the same twinkling mode! So far, I’m having to go into my yard and change the mode on one every single day.

Check immediatley!! Wrong color sent – Ordered warm white. Each box was labeled correctly. When I was ready to put them up, I realized that they were not all warm white. I also noticed that the wire used to tie them was a different color as well. All the greenish lights were in white ties. This leads me to beleive that whoever packaged them made a mistake.
