Works great and easy to use! – I’ve been using this to fix the various broken plastic parts on my BMW x5. Thankfully nothing major. It’s 15 year old car so typical wear and tear but this has saved me from having to buy three interior panel liners in my trunk lid that had broken clips and drove me nuts every time I closed the lid. Just one of these parts would have cost me $68 so its already paid for itself in my book. Its easy to use and works quick just if you are smoothing the plastic or using the filler use in a well ventilated area.

Heats up quickly, easy to use. – Easy to use.I do upholstery and have to take apart door panels. Plastic etc. This works very well in melting them back together

Super Easy – i had several cracks in the hood of my John Deere tractor. After exploring options for glues and epoxies, a friend recommended one of these. One YouTube video later, and I was hooked. Super easy to use and operate. I’ve since recommended this to other friends and family. One side note: Wear eye pro and gloves when you are cutting the tines off the staples. The wire cutters included don’t cut close enough to the “weld” so you will have small pieces of the staple remaining. These can be sharp. Also, when you are cutting off the tines, they have a tendency to fly in every direction. Eye pro prevents one of these little projectiles from ending up in your eye 😉

Definitely better then the low wattage versions. – Works way better than the 50-80 watt versions of plastic welder. It is so quick that when you do bigger jobs it overheats and shuts itself down because you are getting too much done and not because it is working to hard to barely accomplish anything like the lower watt ones do. You get a lot more done before it asks for a break. Only done a few different jobs with it so far so cannot attest to longevity but initial ability is wonderful.

Easy to use, works great – I purchased the kit to attach a 5 inch piece of plastic on a ski-doo snowmobile side panel, I received the kit and tried the first wire fastener on an old trash can for practice, and then did the repair in a few minutes. Worked great, the repair area had to be strong because it is flexed when attaching it to the snowmobile.

Overheats fairly quick – The product does what it is supposed to do, however, I found it overheats quickly and shuts off and it takes several minutes before it resets. I think the body needs to have some ventilation. The body is a solid molded plastic with no air openings. But it did what I needed it to do.

Easy to use, should have bought one years ago! – Very easy to use. Instructions leave a little to be desired, but after reading the complaints it was easy to avoid pitfalls.

Wish I knew this existed sooner! – Seriously a genius concept for a tool. I just wish I knew about it sooner. It’s simple enough for the average DIYer/hobbyists to use and works really well. Before and after photos speak for itself. The tool does have a bit of a learning curve, but nothing you can’t get the hang of after a few applications. Thanks to other’s comments, I found that pulsing the trigger in short 1-2 second bursts makes it easier to control and not burn through the work piece. This thing heats up to melting point almost instantly and cools down nearly as fast. It takes a bit of wiggling back and forth to get the tool of the metal tabs after welding it in. Go gentle with it during removal since it will still be a little hot. I found that the side cutters will not cut the tabs flush and they take a lot of force to cut. Somewhere in the documentation or product info claims you can break the metal tabs off by hand but I didn’t find that to be true. I ended up using the side cutters and then dremeled the rest flush. If you don’t have a rotory grinding tool, they will be much more difficult to get flush.
