Super glued back together. I use rechargable AA batteries and they last for about a week. Love the warm cozy atmosphere they give off. I use them daily for hours. Not the wiggling flame kind – These are fine, I was hoping they would be the kind with the little wiggling flame that dances around to make them look more real as per a few of the reviews since it doesn’t specify in the product description, they have a round bulb. Not the end of the world, they still flicker. I just wish the description was a little more specific or it showed a picture of the bulb so I knew what I was getting.

Issue with timer function – These candles are very realistic looking from afar. Up close they have a little plastic tab that replicates the flame that is rather obvious. Overall I like the candles but I purchased them for the timer function and unfortunately on mine that is not working properly. I used these candles for 3 nights, night 1 & 2 they came on and shut off as programmed. Night 3 only 2 of the 9 candles came on. The batteries are fresh. I had to shut all the candles off and turn them on again to get them to light. I am not feeling hopeful of the longevity of these candles.

Set of three birchwood – I purchased the set of three birchwood candles. Since this listing offers several models, all reviews should mention which they’re referring to. As others have said, the “flame” is extremely realistic, and unexpected if you look and the candle when it’s not lit! All works as expected: candles, remote, etc. I will note that the dark highlights on the surface of the candles giving them a birch bark feel are not as dark or attractive as the photo shows. The birchwood candles are 3.25″ in diameter.

Delightful – Bought these to put in my fireplace, had enough to put a few on the dinner table too. If you hold them apart and use the candle setting you can get the flickering to be less coordinated. Best of all, we just had our first power outage in our new house and I had 9 electric candles to brighten everything up. Much prettier than a glaring flashlight and even on the dimmest setting it was enough to make the house not scary for my kid. I think the only regret i have is not picking ones that change color, because in retrospect I’m sure she would have loved that, but for traditional color candles I absolutely adore these. I also make videos for YouTube and have found these to be incredibly helpful for boosting the lighting in a very subtle way, similar to the portrait lighting on Android, I just move them out of frame to where my face needs a bit more light. If you are crafty, you might even be able to carefully carve a very shallow design into the wax for an extra pop, though I’m not brave enough to try lol.

This allowed us to dim it or make it brighter or look like an actual candle burning by just the click of a button.
