Love the size! – These timers are perfect. The size makes it easy for them to be discreet and make it possible to plug another item into the outlet. I bought two last year and decided to replace my large ones with two more of these right-sized timers.

Great at Christmas – I usually use these type of timers to turn all our Christmas lights on and off automatically. I purchased this brand recently and I really like them as they are more compact in size. When you first use them you have to pull all the black pins up and then push them back down for the times when you’d like whatever is plugged into them to be on. Turn the outer ring (Not the smaller inside white circle like another reviewer was trying to do!) to the current time and plug into outlet. Easy, peasy.

Light duty time – Don’t expect durability with this timer it’s a throw away. Always turns on but doesn’t always turn off.

just one little thing missing – I have 4 of these. They are great, easy to use timers that I use to control holiday lights (xmas tree, house lights etc). Although it’s mechanical, it’s virtually silent and you can only hear the clicking if you really listen in a very quiet environment. Just one tiny little thing that bothers me. The on/off is controlled by 30min segments (48 in total in 24 hours) and the pins are either in or out depending on when the device should be on or off. This makes it super simple to program (as long as your on/off times are ok being in 30 mins segments) There is a little instruction booklet which tells you which is which (is out on or is out off?). Of course you misplace those instructions and so on/off is a case of trial and error to remember which is which. It would be so helpful if it was embossed on the dial somewhere to help you remember.
