Excellent replacement for original – Matches the original in ever way. Even the hole pattern so no new holes required to mount. As others mentioned .. “The description indicates that a CR123A Lithium Battery is used and included with the garage door opener. But in fact it uses a 9 volt battery. And it comes with an 9V alkaline battery instead of lithium” which is OK by me but buyer should know and the description corrected.

Installs in minutes – The keypad is very easy to set up and install without having to climb a ladder. The best part is I can open and close both garage doors of my 3-car garage with different codes.

Works great, default settings are a security risk – This remote works great and was easy to install and program, but took a star off because it has a feature that is a potential security risk. The remote features a “One Touch” close option that allows you to close your garage door without entering your passcode. The included manual says that this is disabled by default, but it was enabled when I received my unit. It seems to be a handy feature, but I believe the issue is that if your garage opener doesn’t support it, you may be able to open your garage door without the passcode, so make sure you check to see if can open your garage door with only the enter button. When testing, be advised that if you’ve previously entered your passcode, you don’t have to enter it for the next 15sec.

A great keypad – Arrived on time. Installation was a Zap. Excellent product. Set up was a breeze. The instruction leaflet was very useful but you require a magnifying glass to read :). But no need for the instruction for anyone with a piece of basic knowledge on garage door openers and accessories. Good product and no regrets at all. Highly recommended.

As expected, blends in well and setup is a breeze – Set this up with my liftmaster garage door motor with no trouble at all. Followed the instructions and it worked the first time – even though my opener is a rolling code type which has proven to be trouble with my HomeLink in-car remote.

Use a lithium battery for better reliability in cold regions. – Still working great after a couple years and even better once I put a lithium battery in. At first it was like the old control and didn’t work in bitter cold (Minnesota). I didn’t consider the battery because it was new and my opener remotes worked fine outside in the cars with the same alkaline batteries. This unit needs more battery power to work in the cold and an alkaline battery drops too low around zero degrees. Once I put a 9-volt lithium battery in everything has been fine.

A great upgrade if you don’t have one for your garage – If you have a Chamberlain garage door opener without an outside keypad, this is a great add-on. Easy to program with clear instructions since the programming sequence differs depending on the type and age of your existing door opener. Bonus — great technical phone support from Chamberlain on all their products.

Quick set up, works well – I appreciate the flip top on the keypad, my previous one had a slider and it was always difficult to slide. The directions for the unit were clear and I was able to set it up in and attach the keypad to the frame of the door in under 10 minutes. So far, it works like a charm.
