      Get the hot and cold connected correctly. – The valve works great. Here’s something I learned. In the manual there’s a a diagram of the valve with one of the ports labeled “1” and another port labeled “2” . On the back of my valve is a stamped number “2” on the port that is actually number “1” in the manual. I failed to catch the difference. The end result was that I was unable to get warm water. Just hot or cold.. After calling Delta I realized the “2” that was stamped on the back had nothing to do with the port numbers that were in the manual, and, in fact, where exactly opposite. Double check your hot and cold side connections before you commit.

      Good product – Best for professional plumbers or very experienced handypeople – I soldered copper to the connectors in what was a tight spot. Getting the depth correctly from what will be the finished wall was difficult. I suggest creating a mock up from scrap plywood to the exact thickness to be sure. When I was adding the handle, I found the hole for the stem to be machined incorrectly. Delta sent me a new one without any hassles.
