Easy, reliable, and what your groomer uses! – I used to be a groomer at a leading big pet store chain, and this was the exact dremmel we had at our store. These work absolutely amazing whether your grooming a small 3lb Chihuahua or a 90lb Great Dane or St.Benard. They cut through long nails like butter and can help keep quicks especially long quicks managed more reliably and easily than with a regular nail trimmer. (Still would recommend to have one anyways but this will also help smooth out the nails so that you’re not getting sliced up by your dogs freshly trimmed nails anymore).

Works well with black nails and large and small dogs – This dremel works well on my mom’s 100 pound dog and my 30 pound puppy. My mom’s dog’s nails are super thick, but this dremel works well on them. It’s super easy to use (if the dog cooperates ). Our puppy’s breeder had been using it once a week on them. Our puppy didn’t like them, so we did a paw a day four days a week to get her more used to it. My mom’s dog doesn’t like the dremel, but her nails are black, so you can’t see the quick to know where to cut them. The dremel makes it so we can do her nails at home and not have to take her to the vet (which she also doesn’t like).

– I have dogs that are “flinchy” when getting their nails trimmed making it difficult to safely trim with clippers. This dremel tool allows me to get nice and close to their nail quick safely! Yes it has some vibration but I hold not just their paw but also their toe right against the nail to help minimize the vibration. I always have a tonne of treats with me to make the experience as good as possible.

The perfect tool doing my Labradoodle’s nails at home! – Wow, this is a GREAT tool for doing dog nails! We recently adopted an 80lb 3 y/o Labradoodle who hates going to the groomer (plus it’s super expensive) and hates having his feet touched. I bathe him at home once a week and want to start trimming his nails on my own too but frankly it sacred me to death because he’s got really long quicks. I decided to buy this and try it out. Once my dog got used to it (it took a few tries and lots of treats for him to get comfortable letting me use it on him for all his feet) it is SO EASY to use and works amazingly well and FAST! I use it on the high setting and it really isn’t very loud at all. It only takes 5-10 seconds per nail on that setting, at least in my experience. Here are a few tips based on my trial and error:

Best tool I’ve ever purchased! – I bought this as a hobbyist to use when I have filing or grinding to do on many materials I use in model building. So far I have used it to smooth styrofoam and grind on polystyrene and drywall stucco (as a filler) and it has worked beyond perfectly! I’ve used it on low mostly and found the battery to have given me at least 4 hours of run time (maybe more as I haven’t timed it). I purchased the “drill chucks” the interchange with the collets so I can switch between the large and small diameter bits and I have never had a tool make me happier and my tasks easier! Buying extra batteries has proven unnecessary! Maybe one just in case but for model building this is probably the best tool you could have in your box!!
