Works exactly as it should – This Frost King 6ft heat cable works exactly as it supposed to work!

Worked well for abnormal use case – I had an outdoor faucet with a very slow drip. Being winter, this stopped the pipe from freezing, but also resulted in a large ice dam building up against the side of my house, to the point I was worrying about it damaging my siding.

My pipes didn’t freeze! – I installed this cable on my waterline, wrapped with foil. The light shows it is active. The temps were in the low teens last week and no issues with pipes freezing!

Looks Like It’ll Work ? – I live in Texas. I never used a product like this before. Always thought heated pipe trace wires were for folks north of the Mason-Dixon. But last February things changed here in Texas. Ice Storm Uri showed up ! This year I wanted to be prepared for Uri II. I have trace installed correctly ( I think). I haven’t plugged it in yet, cause it ain’t cold yet. I’ll update my review when it does get cold. Come to think of it I don’t have a thermometer either O well all I have to do is check my wife’s toes, if they are blue it’s cold.
