Mediocre adhesion – This would work better for your windows if they are horizontal (!). Vertical windows are subject to gravity, and the mediocre adhesion causes the cord to fall out of the window cracks onto the floor.

Great for older windows – Have a manufactured home, and the windows are not airtight. This is the perfect solution! Easy to install, it blocks airflow between window panels, and removes easily. It does not look “out of place” when installed, and it is easy to open the window if needed. (You will have to reinstall if you open the window.) We don’t notice at all when the wind is blowing now.

Very malleable and stays put – I used this product to fill in some small and medium gaps in a wood privacy fence to block beams of light from a neighbor’s floodlights that give unwanted illumination on my patio. I was able to shape the strips and use different widths as needed. It works great for this purpose

Rope Caulk – Bought this on the recommendation from my sister. Was not going to buy it based on reviews but after reading some of them I realized some were silly to me. Especially the one where the lady says it’s sticky….hmmm….it’s supposed to be like that. I bought 2 becausecI knew that the 90 feet was for one skinny strip. And I mean skinny. So I used 3 skinny strip to caulk my front door to stop the cols air from coming in. It works as it should. I use to take it but it would take Tha paint off in spring. We don’t use the front door in the winter. Yes it’s sticky but thays good so you can squeeze it ever so slightly into the gap. I recommend this to anyone just be sure you buy enough. I only used the one box on front door and will put away the other till next year. Enjoy!!!

Blocks drafts – I remember my parents used something like this in the 200 year old farm house I grew up in. I have vinyl replacement windows in my old house now. I still get significant drafts from the bottom of most of the windows, even when locked shut. This stuff goes right in the cracks and stops the draft. It is easy to apply. Other reviews talk about how thin it is. I think this is a good thing. It allows you to customize. Use it as is for narrow cracks. double it up for larger ones. It is easy to remove when time to open the windows again. Highly recommend this.

Stocked up for next season – The only thing that’s difficult to tell in the photos is the narrow thread of putty per strand. I had thought each would be as I remembered the last time I used this many years ago.

great once you get the hang of it – I wasn’t sure about this at first. It broke in small pieces easily, But it’s a putty consistency and you just stick on another piece. Once you get the hang of it, it’s very good stuff. It’s blends in well and I think it will insulate my windows really well, Overall, I’m very pleased. I would buy this again without hesitation.

Really a unique and useful thing – Was able to fill 1/2 inch cracks in a tongue in groove wood ceiling and then go over it with caulk to finish the job. Was told by my painter it was otherwise impossible to caulk. Very easy to apply or take out, and has just enough weight and material to fill the space. I am sure there are many other uses for it–really a smart invention!
