very reliable once you get it set up – I have one of these controlling the grow lights for my tomatoes. It was a little hard at first getting the tiny switches that control the timer set, but one that was done it just works.

Good Basic Timer For My Plants – I needed a timer for the lights on my mini greenhouse and wasn’t looking to spend a lot of money for a controller. I found this one and it does the job just fine! Setting the this to exactly the correct time is a bit difficult, but I just needed it to keep the lights on for a specific time frame, not time of day. It can be tweaked over the course of a few days to get the time pretty accurate, it just depends on your needs. Overall, it’s a great product for the price!

Lamp Timer – This timer works great once you figure out how to RAISE the plastic segments which it doesn’t tell you to do in the instructions. Instead it says use the end of a lead pencil to set the time to come on and go off. Another review complained about the same thing. Had that review not explained how to set the plastic segments, I would have returned it.

Can’t beat the price – Works well and the price can’t be beat. I like the small size so that it’s hidden behind the Christmas tree. It can be a little difficult to pop the timer tabs and one is stuck half way, but still functions perfectly and stays right on time.

Good Value That Works for a Basic Timer – Use to turn aquarium lights on and off. They work fine, but you may find it difficult to set the exact time and; therefore, come on and go off at the exact time. For what I am using it for it works fine. The segments come shipped down. I wasn’t aware of this at first. You have to pull all the segments up first and then set up your times. I use it on a power strip, but plugged it into an outlet and took photos so you can see the orientation.

Pins are too easy to push in, too hard to pull out and setting time is rough, but it works. – These are of a fairly old fashioned design that hasn’t changed much in decades. It’s pretty simple overall to do with the main problem being that you may need to use something small like a pen to actually push in the pins themselves if you don’t want to push in two or possibly even three when using fingers. If you need to pull one out it can also be hard (I had to pull out any nearby ones with each then just push what I needed back in after.) To set the time you have to manually force it to turn one way (which seems maybe not good for it) either while it’s plugged in or plug it in fairly quickly after you set it since it relies on power to turn the dial. This is not terribly accurate and can get off over time, so may require readjustment once in a while depending on how much accuracy you may need in a timer. I also had, of all things, troubles with my cats managing to push a whole bunch of them in just playing nearby and bumping into it. You may or may not have similar problems depending on any animals in your house. If you have dogs they might just push them all in entirely.

Easy to Program! – I have used light timers that I was ready to throw out the window. They were just too complicated to program…too many menus and no way out. This product works on levers that go up or down. It’s a simply ON or OFF. You have the hours of the clock…24 on the outer dial and then you just set the levers to on or off next to the time of the day. I got five of them because of their usability.
