It works – We have GE Profile refrigerator with a water/ice dispenser. This is the recommended filter for replacement. There are cheaper options but for things like this, I’ll stick with the name brand.

One of the easiest filters to instal – There’s never much to say about a water filter, especially if you buy the original thing. It filters the water, it fits perfectly in the fridge and all. What drove my attention on this one is how easy it was to instal. But then again, if you’re looking to buy this you already have a fridge compatible with it, so you’re in luck. And I’d you don’t have such a fridge, not worth changing yours just because the filter is easy to install. Bottomline, Amazon shouldn’t even be taking reviews for this thing.

You have to use them and they aren’t cheap – I guess they work, I didn’t test the water. Adds no taste to the water, if you use the water daily you’ll be replacing every 2-3 months at almost 50 a pop, way overpriced.

Counterfeit product? – After installing filter, GE refrigerator gives an ERR code and does not dispense water. I uninstalled filter and reinstalled filter 4x, making sure arrows lined up and twisting to the right 1/4 turn until filter stops, all resulting in the same ERR code and not dispensing water. I watched a YouTube video to make sure I was doing it right, even though I’ve done it before, with no issue. For convenience, I thought I’d order through Amazon on the subscribe & save.
