      Quality filters, worth a few extra dollars. – These filters work well for my Winix air cleaner. I bought some from another company in August, trying to save a few dollars, but when I put the air cleaner fan in high, on my machine made terrible noises, as if there was a blockage of air somewhere. I immediately got on Amazon to buy the slightly more expensive filters. No terrible noise. Thank goodness. Lesson learned…again. You get what you pay for.

      Tried a generic replacement filter, immediately went back to genuine Winix – I thought I’d save a few bucks by trying a (highly rated) generic replacement filter for my Winix machines, and I was immediately disappointed by the poor fit and added operating noise. Went back immediately to real Winix filters and the difference in performance and noise level is clear.
