Easy to clean and reassemble – First let me say I paid no attention to the care instructions when I first bought the air purifier so when I gave the carbon filter it’s first wash it was a year later. The water that came out of it was putrid. I then learned that the other filter needed to be replaced. So don’t make my mistake.

Have $1200 IQAir machines and also have 3 of these Winix machines; one in office, one in my man cave garage, and one in my encapsulated crawlspace. They are awesome.

Only needs replacing every year or so – I like that this filter only needs to be replaced once a year or so. Mine went longer, no pets, vacuum regularly, and no smoking in my home. I think that helps. This is the only filter (there are 3) that needs to be replaced. The first filter I just vacuum. The 2nd can be rinsed. They are simple to get in and out. They work! My home always smells fresh and clean. Whenever I use hair spray it kicks up and turns red, till it is purified and returns to green. I had one before, much cheaper, no comparison. Winex had great reviews and I can see why. Highly recommend.

Excellent product – This is what I noted, I have bought four other brands of filters, And in all four brands the charcoal filter had smaller mesh and too many charcoal nuggets in them. What happened was when you put the charcoal filter in the machine you’ll notice it bogging down and it gets under a load with these other filters.But not the Winex. The other filter companies put too many charcoal nuggets in their filter and they use the wrong net size to hold them in.I hope this helps others decide on what filter to buy.
