Made my job much easier! – The product is very sturdy, especially when secured to a large stump or log using the hardware included. Initially I just used it in my driveway to test it out (pictured). I then mounted it to a stump. I was able to split several nice sized logs in just minutes. Unlike some other products, this one allows you to split a single log into four pieces quickly.

This is not for heacy duty wood splitting – This is not a replacement for a hydraulic log splitter however, it is excellent for splitting cook stove wood or kindling to be used to start a large fire in a wood furnace or campfire wood. Easy to use but works best if its raised on a stump or piece of wood larger in diameter than the base of the splitter itself, and lagged down. if set up and used properly it will do the job. it works best on dry straight grained wood. I would not recommend using it split green or gnarly grained wood or knot wood.

Good, but needs better hardware – Product works well and is a good size. The biggest issue is the hardware used to assemble it. Almost all of them backed out after a few uses. Yes, I put it together but there needs to be Locktite or some other thread locker used.
