Simple setup with Smart Life app, but blocks the other outlet – I got these for automating some sump pumps and also Christmas lights. Setup was a breeze with the Smart Life app to connect to wifi, set schedules and an ifttt program. Only complaint is that the WiFi plug is so big it’ll block the other outlet on the wall unless it’s not a grounded cord you’re trying to plug in.

bulky but great for the price – the form factor is a little too bulky which makes it hard to fit two in one outlet. The 2.4 Ghz only connection was not easy to setup. That’s unfortunate since pretty much everything uses 5 Ghz now.

Synchronization made easy; loving the app – Installed 9 of these fairly easy. Already got mine to all start at 5:30pm and end at 5:30am.

Well Worth The Money!!! – I first spent money on this company’s outdoor steak/extension/timer and loved it so much that I bought a second one and then bought these two plugs so that I can plug my indoor Christmas lights that I have in two of my windows into. These are awesome because you can download the product’s app and easily schedule when you want your Christmas lights to turn on and then turn off. Some nights I fall asleep early and then the lights are left on so these timers have helped tremendously! The app is super user friendly too! With these plugs you could also connect your Christmas trees into them and set them on a timer, and any other lights or devices that you want to set on a timer schedule to turn off and on. I would highly recommend!!

Perfect for running Christmas lights. – These are a little bigger than I thought but work perfectly for the Christmas lights and the timer setting comes in handy. Only draw back is you have to download the hbn app, they don’t connect to Alexa without doing that 1st. Other brands I have been able to connect with Alexa with adding another app to my phone. But needed if you want to use the timer option.

Very handy timers with poor instructions. – It took me a couple of days to get the bugs worked out, but now that I’ve done that they’re working perfectly. By the way, they do allow you to program a light to turn on and off multiple times a day.

I tried to do the same thing with the iPhone, but couldn’t add the device, not sure why. Once the devices were added, controlling them work very well. The Smart Life app on the iPhone also showed the devices once they were added via the iPad. Integration with Alexa is simple by just adding the Smart Life skill to Alexa and link your Smart Life account with Alexa. The HBN Smart app on the iPad couldn’t connect the device either. So I recommend using the Smart Life app instead. I wouldn’t recommend this if you are not tech savvy. The timer function works well, but you have to schedule a time to turn off and the the time to turn on separately. Instruction how I connect is below.
