A good value. – Although these are for a kitchen sink, my shower has the same size drain, and I was looking for something to catch hair and keep it out of the drain. This works perfect and are about 10 times cheaper than the ones designed for hair. They are also very easy to clean. I am sure they would be the same for a kitchen sink.

I Never Thought This Would Make Me So Happy – I used to use those screen type strainers and they would tear after a few months. So I tried this and I couldn’t be happier. This thing is solid!

Feels sturdy and looks good – Purchased this after throwing out an old mesh filter that just became too difficult to clean unless I boiled it. I picked this one one specifically because it wasn’t mesh and I like it so far. It still filters out junk from going down my kitchen sink and it looks good, has a sleek design and is shiny when clean. The only downside to it is that the bottom can be a little scratchy when cleaning. I try and wash it at least once every few days to keep it clean but the bottom does tear up my sponge a little bit. Other than that, I would definitely repurchase this but I don’t think I’ll be needing a new one for quite some time.

should have gotten it sooner – I had one of those large mesh ones, but food kept getting under the outer lip, defeating its entire purpose. This one sits covers the rim of the drain and sits fairly flush with the bottom of the sink, so food fragments flow more easily into it. looks nicer too
