Vital to my greenhouse – Overall this is fabulous! It turns my heater on/off as needed and keeps the temps in the range I have set. So as a day to day I highly recommend. Setting it up was a bit confusing with the instructions that came with it but I looked up a youtube video that explained it in detail and then I was good there. My only other complaint which hopefully I won’t run into often is that while it will alarm if the temps fall in the range you have preset, there is no alarm if you loose power. That is more of an error on my part as it makes sense since it doesn’t have any power but it would be nice if it had some sort of battery or way to alert if it looses power. My greenhouse lost power one cold night and I didn’t realize it so it was a big scare. I will find another way to mediate that. There is one with an app to but I didn’t realize that until after I purchased this one, so I may need to upgrade to that and maybe that will alert me if power is lost. But overall as long as you use as directed it works perfect!

I have been running this along with the Inkbird humidity conroller and these are some great items for automating your grow room! Will definately buy again should the need arise!

Good, cheap option, but be prepared with a back up – I’ve been using these for 3 years now. My last original one pooped out tonight, but that is OK. I had a spare purchased on Black Friday. My snake collection is small. On one Stat, I have 18 12″w × 18″l sheets of heat tape set at 90° with a 2° variable. The main reasons I chose this model are:

Hands-free performance after the initial set up… – I bought this digital temperature controller last December, so that I could better control the temperature inside my greenhouse during the cold months of winter and early spring. Last year, I was using a couple of strings of incandescent-bulb Christmas lights to heat the greenhouse and the controller did a good job of maintaining a fairly constant temperature. This year, I decided to use a manual-control space heater and the temperature inside the greenhouse has been constant to within 1 to 2° of the target temperature. Even though the space heater is running at the 900-watt setting, the digital controller is handling it without any issues. Last year‘s temperature settings were saved to the hard memory inside the unit, so there was no need for me to re-enter the settings. I just plugged the controller in and it went right back to work. I am very pleased with the performance of this digital controller and I’m looking forward to getting many more years of service out of it.
