Stick them in a V60, Wave not needed – I don’t own a Kalita Wave, I will admit. They’re pretty expensive and don’t have a plastic version, which I prefer for heat retention reasons (and for those people who hate the idea of plastic cones… why? It’s not like you’re going to be throwing it away, so waste isn’t an issue). But these make *excellent* V60 filters. The flat base is very strong and stands up to water flow, and creates a fair bit of resistance, leading to water more evenly coating the grounds and ensuring a more consistent brew. Frankly, with how well these work in a V60, I’m not sure I even feel the need to get a Kalita Wave anymore, as it feels like I’m getting the consistency benefits without having to shell out for an expensive cone. Heavily recommended for anyone that owns a V60 and wants a more consistent brewing option.
