More solid and heavy duty than others, good strainer – My cat kept fishing out the food trap in kitchen sink and sticking his head in the garbage disposal (yuck and also dangerous), so I set out to buy a trap that would actually stay put. I bought two on Amazon that floated to the top. One was much too flimsy, felt lightweight and tinny. This one was the same price (or even cheaper) but is a nice solid construction. Feels well made and heavy in the hand. Sits well in the drain and the “mesh” part on the bottom is wide. So far the cat hasn’t figured out how to pull it out as it sits more snugly than my previous trap. He’ll probably figure it out soon but for the price, this is a very good trap.

Excellent, simple kitchen sink strainer – This stainless steel mesh strainer works perfectly. It has a shiny chrome finish, drains well, perfectly fits a sink with a 3-1/2″ drain and a 4-1/2″ drain rim, and appears to be very sturdy. It looks much better than the typical drain strainer/stoppers that are sold in most stores.
