Makes Wire Stripping Easy – Easy and fast way to strip wire and Romex. No more yanking and pulling. Just be wary of the wire cutting blades-they are sharp! Sliced my finger when I foolishly reached into the tool box without looking.

Stripping wires is almost enjoyable… – This tool is super helpful if you have many electrical wires to connect to outlets, switches, and other wires. There are a few settings to dial in to conform to the size and type of wire being stripped. It can easily strip 12ga and smaller solid or stranded wires. This is one of my favorite electrical hand tools. I would not hesitate to buy it again if it got lost or something. Super happy with the tool. It has saved me lots of time and frustration.

Well made and effective. – I have had a chance to play around with them and they do a great job of cleanely stripping only three insulation. There is an adjustment knob for different thicknesses, but honestly I just keep it on the lowest setting and it does a perfect job going from Romex sheathing to the wires inside the sheathing….all the way down to some of the most delicate wire I could find on a small speaker. Feels very solid and well made and I’ve never seen a single bit of wire come off with the insulation while stripping it. What a smart time-saver that produces very consistent and clean looking results.

Better Than a Knife – Using a knife or a manual pull type wire stripper are OK; but this device makes stripping just about any gauge wire easy. I have some difficulty with very thin strand wire getting the wire stripped the first time; otherwise, it is a great tool for the cost.

I tried it on a variety of wire types and sizes, including Romex and Tefzel (teflon insulation commonly used in airplane wiring), and it worked perfectly on all of them. I did not try it on Romex wires that have the thin transparent outer insulation, which many reviewers have said defeats the stripper.
