Needs VERY BRIGHTlight to turn off! – This is a great nite light for the money, but unless you have this in a very bright spot during the day, it won’t shut off completely! The photo eye is too small to detect enuff light to shut off. I like the dimmable slider that offers many levels of brightness and you can plug it in upside down to keep the illumination more near the floor area because the outlet prongs are both the same size…not one larger. It just would be nice to have it shut off during the day. Mine is in the bathroom on an outlet at the bottom of the mirror and the large west window is under 5 feet away! So plan accordingly. Otherwise a good product.

Great for when you move into a haunted house! – Well, my time has finally come, after binging all of those haunted house stories about couples moving into an older home, I have just moved into an older home myself!! By day its my cottage, my sanctuary but when night falls things become a little spooky with the creeks and noises that I hear coming out of the basement. Now naturally, I can’t get out of going down there, my washing machine and dryer reside in that dreary dark place. I decided to purchase some of these nightlights for the basement so it’s not as uncomfortable to go down there and these are amazing because they’re very bright when turned all the way up! I love them so much that I actually bought two more. If your house is like mine, a beautiful dwelling by day but ghosts and demons lurking in it’s bowels come dust, I suggest that you invest in several of these to help you feel safe. If however you actually SEE a ghost or creature lurking in your home or if you hear the words “GET OUT”, pack up your stuff and leave, from what I’ve seen, these situations never end well. ☠

Love the dimmable feature – Nice, solid design and build. Can’t comment on durability yet, we’ve only had them for a week. But the dimmest setting is just what I wanted, and it can actually get bright enough to give a small room a some accent level lighting.
