Small, but not just for smoothies. – This works great for the purpose I bought it. I have a cat who is getting older and I needed to start him on Cosequin for his joints. I tried mixing the Cosequin into cheap, but highly tasty canned food. He won’t eat Science Diet canned food on a bet, but he likes their kibble-what can I say, he’s a cat and neither of the last two cats I have had would, either. Since Maxie isn’t very experienced with canned food he had a heck of a time getting it up off the bottom of the small bowl I would put his canned food mixed with the supplement into. He’d lick and lick and the food would scoot along the bottom of the bowl, then up the side of the bowl until at least half the food would go over the side of the bowl and land on the floor. Eventually I had a brain flash and invested in this little blender. I put a can of food into the blender, add a bit of water, and the blender gives me back food with the consistency of baby food that even Maxie can lick up. I fill small food storage containers with the food and stash them in the freezer, then thaw them out one at a time, dig out the equivalent of an 8th of a can of food, add a bit of warm water to make sure the powdered supplement dissolves, warm it in the microwave and he laps down his soup in seconds. One of these days I’ll try making a smoothie for me in it, but I’m not much of a smoothing person. My cat obviously is, and if that’s what it takes to make sure he gets the full amount of the supplement then that’s what he’s going to get.

Awesome Blender – This is the second blender I have tried on Amazon and I found the Muller Ultra Blender to be the winner. You can’t beat the price and it actually does crush ice. That was my main reason for buying it, plus it’s easy to carry when you travel as much as I do. it’s compact, can fit in your suitcase or on top, and doesn’t take up too much space. I use it to make my protein shakes, it blends everything. Just can’t overfill it, either else it won’t work as well, found that out by trial and error. I gave it a 4 out of a 5 simply because you can only blend for 1 min at a time, don’t want to let it overheat. The best way I have found to use it is to blend for 20- 30 seconds, if you are doing protein shakes add the protein powder, then the liquid, blend for 20 seconds, then add in each ingredient one at a time, add ice last as it only takes a few seconds and you’re guaranteed a cold shake.

Mueller is best again! – I hot sick of the small blender that you load, then screw on the blade attachment and flip over to blend, then hope it doesn’t leak sending liquid down into the motor base. Or…hope it doesn’t come unscrewed when you turn it to unlock from base…same outcome- liquid down in sealed electronically unit that you cannot clean.

Careful what you blend! – I rated it 4 stars because of the following… I received it same day, and tried to blend up a granola bar…and it tried to kill me! One blade broke off, shattering the side of the mixing cup, and just missing my stomach, and coming to rest half way through my Bluetooth speaker! I called customer service, and they were very fast to send a new one After they said I didn’t need to return the defective one, I really put it to the test… it will not crush ice without a fight! It will blend a dog terd, unless the dog eats rocks… then make sure you have a shield between you and the blender. it might be ok with a sliced apple, but anything harder will take some effort! It will work great if you are making a smoothie….. with a stronger blender or precrushed ice! Don’t plan on industrial use! However, it really works great to juice a terd to use in cookie batter for the neighbor who never picks up their poop in your yard… or their dogs poop yummy! Remember, it’s too late after you’ve tasted it If you are going to test it with anything hard, wrap the cup in a towel or a band of tape around the bottom few inches of the mixing cup… oh yeah, praying may not hurt…. But the best overall tip I have is this: NEVER check your gas tank with a road flare! Happy blending

Get what you pay for – My old blender stopped working so I purchased this one. I’ve never owned a small blender so it took some getting used to. It blends fairly well for the most part but not as well as a big blender. After about 30 seconds of blending, I can smell a slight burning smell of sorts. I let the motor cool down and then blend again. My smoothie consists of water, protein powder, zucchini (I know but don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!!), blueberries and ice. I can only use about 10oz of water with all the other ingredients. I haven’t had any problems with leaks which is awesome! I also love that it doesn’t take up a lot of space.
