Pretty and easy to use except the timer – Love the look and ease of battery operated lights but no instructions for the timer function. I’ve tried to set it a few times based on comments by others but its never worked on one.l string so i manually turn those off and on with the remote. The other strings seem to have been set by turning the light on, then pressing the timer button till ot blinks once ajd then the number for the light display I want. I hit 8 so they don’t blink.

Good Value – Works well, bright crisp lights. Lots of choices of lighting program, only problem is that only one of the programs is appealing to me. Would prefer less dramatic (jarring) choices. A soft fade in/fade out would be nice, or a twinkle where individual lights gently shine brighter and then back to normal. But for the price, I’m quite happy with the plain steady on program.

timer – If someone has purchased these lights, PLEASE tell me how the timer works; there were no instructions!!! I just put them outside today and I am pleased with the look, but I don’t want to go outside at 1am to turn them off.

Setting timer – The lights work simply and the remote helps even more. Now, the main complaint is getting the timer to work. I got mine to work tonight by pressing one of the black dots on the far right of my remote. The lights are on and I chose the one nearest the top and held it until the lights flashed off and then back on. That is the 2hr setting. Now if you have fiddled with your remote like i did you may have the timer set to off. Let them run 2 hrs and see if they power off. If not Press and hold that button one time until the lights blink. I then powere off the lights and powered them on. 2hrs later the lights clicked off on their own. Your individual lights may be a bit different than mine but hope this helps.
