Outstanding calipers – Very useful. A must have for repairing or servicing machinery of all kinds, and just generally a useful thing to have about for precise and accurate measurements. Love that it comes with a hard case as well for safe storage in a toolbag.

Simple, Cheap, Usable Calipers – I’ve been using these for about a year now, and they work great. I would rate them 5 stars, but my only concern is they use the battery (even when turned off), and within a few months I had to swap the battery. This meant I kept removing (and losing) the battery when it was needed for an extended period.

Pretty hard to beat for the price – Are there better calipers? Of course. Are these precision accurate? Probably not. But for the price, it’s hard to find much to complain about. In my usage, I’ve found them accurate enough (mostly taking measurements for 3d printing designs). The only annoying thing about these is the small strip of copper that you can use to lock the calipers can and does easily and constantly fall out. And it’s quite small so it’s easy to lose it on the floor.

Plastic is a feature for some of us, just use with care – I just needed something inexpensive that did the job, but I also needed something that wouldn’t scuff up aluminum (or other plastics). This is great for that. However know that when you open the teeth of this tool, a thin piece of plastic sticks out of the end of the device. It doesn’t take much poking around to realize this part could easily snap off if you’re not careful. So just expect this if you buy the plastic model. I needed plastic, so it’s not a big deal.
