Fast Customer support fixed the issue! – I saw another comment here where they showed an outlet that was broken open. I ordered 2 of these and similar thing happened to one of them. I’m no expert but it seems the screw is too short and wasn’t holding the case together properly.

It has rained, snowed, and iced already since we got it and the cord has been fine through all of it. We’ve had below freezing and down to 7 degrees Fahrenheit so far and it’s been fine. The cord is heavy duty and the plug area is fairly heavy duty too. It seems to be well constructed and we’re pleased with it.
