extra sense of security! – I bought this to use in my apartment. It’s super easy to install once you do it the first few times and it really does work. I haven’t brought it on a plane or anything of that nature, but I can imagine this would be very easy to throw into a carry-on bag. I’ve only used it on the doors in my apartment so far, so I can’t say how well it fits on a variety of doors. If your door is especially oddly sized (in terms of its locks, anyway) then it might be worth just checking sizing.

Bit of an awkward fit, but feels secure. – I got this when my partner was away for a few nights, as we live in a first floor apartment with very old doors. Surprisingly, it did fit the older door/lock, but I needed to bend the “lip” of the product a bit with pliers. When I got it to fit, it did the job and secured the door really well. A bit awkward to use but overall felt safe.
