The best filters. Don’t buy cheap substitutes. – The Pur filter that came with my Pur pitcher worked great. It’s certified to remove lead and removed all the chlorine taste from our heavily chlorinated tap water. I tried a cheaper replacement filter that supposedly filters lead and chlorine, but the water went through that filter much quicker than the Pur filter, which made me suspicious. Then, when I tasted the “filtered” water it still had a chlorine taste that told me this filter was subpar, and if it couldn’t filter chlorine it most certainly was not filtering out lead. No thanks. From now on I’m sticking with these genuine Pur filters because they’ve been tested, certified, and I know they actually work. Yeah they cost a little more, but they’re more than worth the added cost and still only cost about $4 per month for healthy and great-tasting water, which is well worth it for me.

Only filter that reduces lead – I have used Pur water filter system for years. They are more expensive and for a while I went with a “comparable with Pur water filter” variety. Then I read the literature a little more closely are noticed that all the other filters that fit my pitcher talked about taking the chlorine from the water but made no mention of lead and other hard metals. So I did research on my areas water and found that there is a high percentage of lead. Now I am back to using Pur filters and I understand why they are more expensive.

Great product but arrived beat to hell – Great product! Our water is disgusting but these filters fix all that. Lasts 1-2 months per filter for our use. Probably will not order from Amazon again though as the package arrived so beat the box containing the filters was dented and a corner was ripped open. Also, Amazon, chill with your drivers on timing. We have had to speak with all the drivers who deliver on our quiet country gravel road for hauling ass 20 to 25 over the speed limit. I get it, time is money but your drivers are dangerous.

One reviewer said they last a week or two and cost $125 for three filters. Mine cost $25 for three right now and last two to three months. I paid $21 with a coupon. They are a few dollars more at other retailers.
