Filter sprayed water into the Freezer – I bought the 2 pack because they were more economical that way. I took out the old filter and installed the new one. It seemed like a good seal until I walked away and saw water dripping out the bottom of the freezers. I removed the filter but in just 20 seconds the freezers were full of water and leaking into the floor. WTH?? Most of the meat and butter turned into a giant ice cube. Thank goodness I bought 2 filters, the other one worked out

Easy to change, install but pricey. – The instructions were easy to follow for the replacement and installation of the new filter. The filter is a little pricey but at least it’s a genuine Samsung filter designed specially to be used with the type of refrigerator I have. You still have to allow water from the dispenser to run for at least 5 minutes in order to clear some of the extra carbon in the filter and have to remember to reset the refrigerator reminder to change the filter in 6 months or less if you live in an area that has a lot of lime coming into your refrigerator line. Other than that don’t make a mess when you change the filter and have a towel handy in case the old filter does leak.

Certified to both NSF 42 and NSF 53 standards – Read this for NSF certification explanations – I always buy these Samsung OEM filters because they are certified to both NSF 42 and NSF 53 standards. My young kids drink a LOT of water from our refrigerator filter, so for me, it’s totally worth it to make sure I get legitimately certified NSF 53 filters. These filters come with a secure “authentication tag” that’s hard to fake, so you know you’re getting the OEM product and legitimate certification.
