God I love this thing – Seriously, I have no idea why I waited so long to get a shop vac, but now I have one and it is GLORIOUS. The suction is powerful and I’ve yet to find anything it can’t pick up. Flour? Check. Dirt and leaves? Check. Mud or wet food? Check. Socks? Well…unfortunately yes, but it is still very impressive. I’ve also fallen in love with the blower function, which is great for fluffing up long pile carpets, blowing dust and spiderwebs out from under the furniture, and drying wet upholstery, especially the curtains that got wet from the rain or couches after a spill. If you have hardwood floors or live in a tiny apartment and don’t see the need to get a traditional carpet vac, seriously, get a shop vac instead, it’s the perfect appliance.

Not bad for the price – Bought this shop vac upon the recommendation of Steve Ramsey, the woodworking guy on YouTube. It’s a good buy for the value if just doing minor jobs around the house. The capacity is plenty. The main issue is the cheaper build quailty. For the function, it’s not a problem. The issue is the horrible casters that are on this thing. It routinely tips over, even if pulled very gently. The cord is also pretty short. For everyday use I’d spend a little more for better quality. For my once in a while use for small jobs, this is perfect.

This thing is a work horse! – This is a powerful little unit. It’s suction is stronger than my normal vacuum and the blower side is just as strong. I wish I had bought one a long time ago.

Perfect for my needs but get an extension cord ready – I purchased this to do some garage clean up, including window sills and blinds. It was perfect with all of the attachments and suction. The use of the filters was rather confusing but after reading the manuals, online comments and videos, I concluded that the foam filter remains in place for wet or dry, and the blue filter goes over it only for the dry vacuum. I hope I am correct. If you are using this is a large space, you will need an extension cord. I like the fact that the tools and cord care self contained on the unit; the weight and size are perfect for my needs.

Wish the hose was wider. – Is really only good for small items. Gets blocked often but it’s an easy fix because you can change the hose to blow out stuck item.
