Not as bright as I remember them being – I had one of these years ago before I switched to the USB rechargeable units. I ordered another to keep around since my USB one takes a long time to charge, so I would have a backup ready to go at anytime (I have 2 young kids, so I have plenty of batteries on hand). This one is not near as bright as I remember the old one being. It could be my imagination. I do know that the USB ones are WAY brighter.

A must-have for everyday carry. – This is about the perfect light for everyday carry. This AAA version is shorter and lighter than the rechargeable version and I prefer simply installing a new battery versus having to recharge. It is sufficiently bright for practical purposes in everyday life.

Best Pocket Flashlight Ever – These are by far the best pocket flashlights on the market IMO. They’re basically indestructable. I’ve dropped mine, left it outside for days on accident, dropped it off a dock to the bottom of a lake, used it underwater… it just doesn’t fail. It’s perfect when you need light to see up close. It’s not made for long range though. It’s just not strong enough for illuminating things at a distance, but that should be obvious from the specs. I have mine in my pocket 25/8 and it just never lets me down. 10/10.

Awesome EDC light – These MicroStream lights are the best. I thought I had lost my light at the store when I took something else out of my pocket, so I ordered a couple more. A few days later, the ‘lost’ light turned up in the dryer, which means it also went though the wash. It still worked! What a nice surprise.
