Works as described – This stud finder seems to work very well. I purchased it to assist me to mount a couple of tv wall mounts and it picked up the studs very easily.

Brand new to using this type of tool – First time using a stud finder. After reading the directions, I did feel like it was fairly straightforward but not quite descriptive enough for me. I have a weird corner section that has an extra squared off section and it has metal on the stud to create an edge. I had to reach out to someone else for help to figure out if that stud was usable and to decipher the results I was seeing.

Easy To Use – I will start by saying that I hate stud finders. They are always a pain. I’ve owned several and I’m aways disappointed. But this one doesn’t suck. We’re novice DIYers and this did what we needed it to do without a huge learning curve or a bunch of unnecessary holes on the wall. The included battery, alone, was enough to make me happy. It was easy to use and the center stud feature came in handy as we were mounting our TV. I’m not in love with all of the beeping, but overall it makes me hate stud finders less and made our project faster and with less swearing.

I am remodeling my basement and hanging plywood and this very efficient finding studs. I was skeptical at first because of some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. In some instances it worked but not as well as when it was on a flat surface which is to be expected I would think. i had no issues finding the studs. though i am not sure if it was the center or not since i cant see through walls. i would definitely recommend this device.

so far no complaints – i have never owned one of these before so my expectations might be different than someone with experience using these. we live on a slab so the wires do not run how they used to at our older house. The device seemed to work well. i was hanging up shelving in our laundry room. so there are pipes and wiring everywhere (at least that is what i think). i was skeptical at first because i read some of the reviews. I tried it out in areas where i knew there were wires and i knew there were pipes. it detected them each time. so i started drilling hanging up our cabinets. It got the job done. – I felt this wall scanner to be a little unpredictable and hard to use. I had to use thicker settings to get reads on 1/2″ drywall. Overall, it did work but I would probably pick a different one the next time.
