Great product, amazing customer service – There is definitely something to be said for purchasing from a reputable company that has excellent customer service. I’ve used the Thermopro TP20 happily for about 5 years now — for all kinds of meats and in both outdoor grills and indoor ovens. It’s very accurate and a breeze to use. However, a few weeks ago, I dropped the receiver. I contacted Thermopro as I wanted to buy a replacement; instead of making me buy it, they simply sent a replacement out to me at no cost. That is amazing customer service — Thermopro has a customer for life in me, and I will definitely recommend them to everybody (and will in fact, buy my mother-in-law one for Christmas, as she has a pathological fear of undercooked chicken).

Great Product, Greater Service. – Works great, but this is even better: I bought mine 5 years ago. Last month one of the probes stopped working, so I contacted the seller. They just sent me a replacement free of charge and even paid the postage. Did I mention my unit was 5 years old? These guys are the best

Overall this product seems to do the job – I wanted something easier to use than a traditional thermometer for meat, something that could stay in the meat while it was being cooked so I could pull it off exactly when needed. For the most part this product seems to perform accurately on one of the probes when compared to temps from traditional thermometer.

Absolutely worthless directions——- see update – This thing was made wayyyyyy to difficult to figure out and the directions are no help they are just as confusing. I’ve played with it for 30 min and have no clue how to change the taste from medium to well

Only had it a month but so far so good – Seems to work fine, not the greatest quality but no issues so far after 4 or 5 cooks and on the third set of batteries. The batteries do not last an entire brisket cook I get 8-10 hours out of them so keep a package on hand it takes 4 AAA (2 in transmitter 2 in receiver) I use it to monitor the temperature at the grates of my offset barbecue pit. The alarm is a nice feature it beeps if the temperature gets above or below the temperature range you input. When I’m inside it lets me know it’s time to go add wood to the fire. I wish the backlight could be tuned on permanently or longer then a few seconds, but the backlight does stay on if the temperature is out of range. It seems to be accurate compared to a couple other thermometers and works inside the house about 30 feet away from the transmitter, I haven’t tested the range but it is more than enough for my purposes, since I’m in the kitchen when not tending the fire. I would recommend this to anyone who has a wood fired barbecue pit and is on a budget.

Until wireless technolgy catches up, this is the way to go – The wireless units I tried had almost no range, were not very accurate and lasted under a year. The wired probes aren’t very convenient, but they work every time. I also like that I can buy replacement probes if needed.

Don’t Grill Without It – What an improvement over similar thermos I have used. A bit of a learning curve at first, but all the options enable you to customize any event. So far, I have found it to be quite accurate temperature wise. Having two probes is a welcome plus. Last week I prepared two pork loins, one for my wife who is still stuck in 165 degree done for pork,while I prefer 145. Both came out perfect with this wireless thermometer. And wireless is a big plus when grilling on my outside porch watching the snow pile up with a glass of wine in the kitchen. Highly recommended.
