I ran beans through the grinder 3 times after using this stuff. Did I get it all cleaned out ? I don’t know. Maybe. Did it really clean the grinder ? Don’t know that, either. How would I know ??

An Essential for Burr Coffee Grinders – This a fine product at a fair price. And if you have a burr grinder, it is essential to use a product like this to keep the grinder clean. Of the many such products, this was the one recommended by Wirecutter. I have found Wirecutter to be very reliable.

Once the shipping confusion was cleared up the product was excellent. – Apparently, they like short reviews here. The product worked great. It is well worth the price. Amazon can get confused with the delivery but eventually it all works out in spite of what they say. So, if you’re thinking about getting this and are on the fence just go for it. It’s only $36 and it’ll make your coffee taste great again.

Well worth the money – Urnex Grindz is very easy to use and it works quite well. My Baratza Encore coffee grinder needed a deep cleaning. The Urnex Grindz were critical to removing old residual oil from the grinder burrs. After the deep cleaning was done my coffee tasted fantastic once again. Important note to all Baratza Ecore owners: after you grind some beans, remove the grounds holder, hold the grinder over a trash can, give the grinder a couple good smacks on the side and you’ll be astonished how many grinds will fall out of the grinder. If you don’t do this you will be mixing stale grinds with fresh ones and it will give your coffee a off taste. Can’t speak for cleaning other grinders, but for the Baratza Encore Grindz are a must for a proper deep cleaning
