Perfect for a kid’s room – I bought this to replace my daughter’s nightlight next to her bed. The small light on the sides is perfect for her. The main light is awesome for me when it’s time to read her a bedtime story. It’s also adjustable to 3 levels of brightness. She loves that the clock shows the day of the week as well. The clock is bright, but great news: you can also shut its light off when you want it dark. Right now the pencil holder is more of a toy holder, but it makes her happy, so it’s perfect. I honestly wasn’t expecting her to fall in love with a lamp, but she has.

Why doesnt the clock dim? – The only thing about the light is that the clock doesnt dim. It is always the same brightness – day or night. And at night it seems extra bright. I have solved this by simply unplugging the light every night (since it sits on my bedside table) but I can see why this might be irritating if you are someone who gets up at night or fumbles around in the dark.
