Great! – Honestly didn’t know what to expect when I first bought this. I purchased it for the sole purpose of having security in my bedroom, yes I know bedroom. But it was surprisingly really good! I have an expensive security system in our home and this was easy budget and quick. Also, I’ve used to work in a security system company. I was surprised on the qualities of the camera. You can record the live feed, speak through the camera, take a photo of the live feed, and turn on the siren. The siren is loud. You can also check on events from past days it will replay. The sound quality of videos are crisp. Motion, sound and pet detected. Very sensitive which I prefer. I even explored their Shop let’s say I’m looking to purchase some more cameras. Affordable, great value, and worth it. Top notch! Thank you!!!

Doesn’t catch snake’s movement . – I love wyze for having a great product for the price range the image quality is great , and the app interface is easy to use . On top of that this cam has a feature to turn off ir lights at night which is cool . I have two other models in the bedroom for my dog which has been working for years and doing great. And this model is great expect for what I wanted it for. I put it in my snake enclosure to capture the movement of my snake when active but I have noticed dayor night it doesn’t pick up the snake even when it’s right in front of the lens ??? How do I know bc I will literally check the live feed and the snake is active yet the motion detection isn’t activated . I have changed settings and played around with it but nothing as worked . That’s my only negative . Other than that great product but not great for snake monitoring unless you are just interested in the live feed .

12/10/2022 updated review at present I have 3 cameras & believe the fourth camera is enroute – 1. Camera #1: was able to use in just a few minutes then saw the device’s firmware was not current so figured I would flash but the GUI would not work thus contacted support and vendor RMA’d camera #1.

Good Replacement for Amazon Cloud Cam – I bought this camera to replace an Amazon Cloud Cam in my office lobby, after Amazon decided to brick their Cloud Cams earlier this month. I only use the camera to live view my lobby on an Echo Show on my desk when I am in my office in back and someone enters the lobby. The Wyze Cam v3 connected easily with my Amazon account and I can simply say “Alexa show lobby” when I want the live view displayed on my Echo. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that there is no way to turn off the microphone. You can turn off the microphone if you are recording, but not during live view. According to the Wyze message boards this has been a long time complaint. I can say “Axela show lobby and mute volume” whenever I want to see the lobby without all of the background noise, but I do not want anyone to be able to listen in on my lobby and there is no manual or software switch available to turn off the microphone.

Great camera for a great price! – This little camera packs a big punch. The camera quality is great in any lighting level. The motion detection is great as well. I like the A.I. detection but I don’t rely on it solely. You can also use sound as a recording trigger which is nice, but it easily picks up wind noise. That will lead to lots of unnecessary recordings. The customization of almost everything is an amazing feature. The app is very easy to use and navigate. The camera itself was surprisingly easy to setup and connection to my smart home was a breeze. There are only two things I wish were different. #1- the notifications to your phone could be improved. #2- I wish the camera would come in black. You can turn off the recording status light and the IR lights. This would make the camera very inconspicuous…if it was not bright white. Overall this is a GREAT budget camera. Would recommend to anyone.
