Great addition to our Wyze collection – I’ve had this in operation for a month with no problems. It seems like a quality piece of electronics with very good camera clarity. Yes, there’s a parabolic nature to the viewing area, but that provides a lot of viewing coverage and certainly doesn’t render the image in a significantly distorted way. I found the installation and connecting to be simple, maybe even more so than our external Wyze cams. I used the included camera ‘wedge’ base as my door is 90 degrees angle from the stairs leading up to it-this provides much better coverage. Once the base plate is screwed (or adhesive) on, the wedge slides onto that, and then the camera clicks into the wedge with a small set screw at the bottom to keep the unit attached. It’s one of those star patterned screws, so a small screw driver is included. I continue to be amazed at the innovative products by Wyze. Make sure you read through the Wyze Tips: the iOS camera shortcuts app is a game changer (see picture).
