Perfect replacement for my old halogen can lights – I have 28 recessed lights in my house that use halogen par something ($15.00 ea) bulbs. I’ve been wanting to change the LED for years but was unsure what bulb to get with all the available choices. Being the confirmed frugal, I chose these and they are perfect. The 100 watt provides plenty of dimmable light in my 18 foot ceilings. With my existing dimmers, they actually have a wider range and can dim down probably 99.9 percent. Only drawback in my case is they aren’t as “pretty”in a recessed fixture as a halogen light. Who the heck looks at that anyway, especially when they are on.

Satisfied – I usually make it a point to test each bulb when I buy bulk just in case I need to return them within the time window. I bought and tested 12 bulbs and each one worked out of the box. Color is accurate (daylight), brightness is good and best of all no noticeable flickering or buzzing! Last batch of “the big name brand” bulbs would flicker and buzz and went through a few other off-brands until I found a good batch.

Lowest dim level – I like a bulb that can dim to a very low level. I couldn’t find any quality reviews about how low these would dim so I tried them and tested it. Some say they don’t go dim enough but it is a function of both the bulb AND the dimmer. A decent dimmer will have an adjustment dial to set the lowest dim level. I dialed my dimmer down on these bulbs and they got nonsensically low, i.e. they were so dim (while still visibly on), that there was no point of them even being on. I actually had to dial the dimmer a little higher to make the dimmer’s lowest level useful. Thus these bulbs exceeded my wish to be able to dim to a very low level, and did so with no buzzing or flashing.

10,000 Hrs- NOPE!!!! – THEY LIE! These simply don’t last even close to what they say. Maybe their rating is based on perfect conditions where perhaps the bulb is used for exactly 12.5 minutes at a time, no more than once every other hour, and the ambient temperature is exactly 63.7°, while plugged into a surge protector….. You get the idea. 10,000 hours is about 416 days, I have already replaced most of the ones I installed and I ordered them about 9 months ago.

Good deal – Bought these a couple of other wattages on what seemed like fire sale prices. Bulbs work fine. Glad to have them. Should last long enough!

One Secret Lamp Manufacturers Don’t Want You to Know – We’ve all been there. Your lamp stops lighting up so you throw it in the trash, get on Amazon.com and start scrolling through lamps until you find the perfect one. What if I told you, there’s another way? Even though I’m putting myself at great risk from Big Lamp just typing this, it’s important enough that everyone should know. Stop throwing away your old lamps. You can make them work just like new with this one simple trick – put a new light bulb in. Due to an oversight by Big Lamp, most lamps have a simple defect that you can take advantage of. Simply look at the lamp to locate the bulb. Then, and this is the tricky part, unscrew the bulb. Once the bulb is out, you simply put a new bulb in its place and twist it in the opposite direction! That’s it!!! Your lamp will function just like it did when you took it out of the box.

Second Time Purchase – Great brightness, even better for the price point. No flickering in the 3 sets I have purchased, even using variable smart light switches.
