Great for Christmas lights – I bought these to put up my outside Christmas lights and they worked out great. The easiest way I found to install them is to drill a 7/16 hole in the wood first, then screw the hook into the hold by hand. I tried using the included drill “bit” to hold the hook, but it invariably wobbled so badly that I couldn’t put the hook in straight. Pre-drilling the 7/16 inch hold made it easy to screw them in by hand, but still tight enough that I didn’t have to worry about them coming out.
