Professional contractor extremely happy – I did a ton and i mean a ton of research on cordless vacuums. One of the deciding factors was the fact that i do own a tremendous amount of dewalt products and have several batteries for dewalt. As a professional electrician one thing I pride myself on is a clean project. That means from the moment i walk into a home till the moment I leave. Having this vacuum has made the ease of clean up super easy! I’m extremely happy with the attachments it comes with. One thing I’ve come to learn from my 24 years of contracting is you can do an amazing installation but if you leave dust, dirt or any debris behind that’s what the client remembers the most!

The vacuum should suck more! – Great little vacuum, but would have liked a little more power. If you’re looking for portability over suction power & a dewalt person then this is the vacuum.

Decent portable / cordless shopvac – It’s a decent vac for what it is. It has sufficient suction for my uses. We use it for cleaning up ash in the fire place, bugs (if you’re married, you know what I mean), small home projects, and I use it for reducing dust in sanding woodworking projects. If you have a DeWalt random orbital sander, then you know how much dust they generate. Amazon sells a DeWalt adaptor that will accept the hose (without the end attachment) and connect it to the dust port on their sanders (you know, where that worthless bag goes). I connect this vac to my sander and away I go. While it won’t suck up all the dust generated, it significantly reduces the amount.

Just perfect. Can’t believe I waited so long to purchase – After trying multiple compact shop vacs I decided to give this one a try. Much better suction than many plug in compact shop vacs. Small, portable, and great runtime on standard 2ah and 4ah dewalt batteries. I might have to get another.

Poor Vacuum Suction at First – Bought this to vacuum motorhome compartments and car footwells. Very poor suction at first on battery. Found a friend with the same unit. He noted that it has an internal relay. As I’d ordered the cordless version (seller sent corded/cordless version) I had not tried plugging it in. I plugged it in and it was better. But then I unplugged it and it was *much* better on the battery!

It sucks! – Works well for what it is. Of course it is not as powerful as a corded shop vac, but it makes up for that in convenience and portability. I just used it for cleanup of some roof flashing work — not having to stretch a cord up to the roof was priceless.

Perfect for workbench and smoker – This small vacuum cleaner is perfect for my workbench to clean up debris from drilling and sawing. Also, perfect for cleaning the ashes out of my pellet smoker. I love that it’s cordless!
