A practical solution! – These are pretty strong little magnets. We put gutter guards on last year, so we couldn’t use the plastic hooks we’ve always used for our Christmas lights. We thought about drilling holes and installing hooks in the soffits behind the gutters, but this was sooooo much easier. So far they’re doing a great job, We put them about V a foot apart, so I think it would take quite a windstorm to mess with them. Very happy with our purchase.

Smaller than you may think – While there is a photo down the page of these things at 1.38 ” x .63″, the display photos used at the top of the listing show hooks that are obviously larger in size. Don’t expect large sized hooks as these are quite small.

Magnetic hooks – This package of 3 magnetic hooks is exactly what I’ve been looking for. It’s hard to believe, but I couldn’t find any magnetic hooks in stores, and I’ve been looking for several months. It’s just one of those examples of something you think would be easy to find until you are actually looking for them. But, these were on Amazon and they are perfect. Very small, not bulky, but will hold a lot of weight.

Strongest when hanging from above – These are perfect for light weight items (kitchen utensils, kitchen towel, brushes, etc.) Like other reviewers, if I hang my cardigan or a top on one of these, the magnet isn’t strong enough and begins to slide down. However, like some other reviewers discovered, the magnet can hold a jacket ONLY IF you attach the magnet to a strong metal ceiling for the item to hang vertically.
