      Smoke detector that works nicely with Ring – I like devices that just work. I like to have notification from ring when the battery needs to be replaced rather than a pesky beeping sound.

      Eats through batteries – This thing goes through batteries like there is no tomorrow. I have had it for a little over 2 years and had to change the batteries 3 times.

      A Z-Wave Smoke Detector – It’s disappointing how few choices there are for Z-Wave smoke detectors. I was very happy to find that this smoke detector takes two AA batteries. Rechargeable AA batteries are much more available than rechargeable 9V batteries.

      Good but. – Mine work off 9v battery. There was an AC power wire where my old detectors were and the batteries were backup. These won’t hook to the power and run only from battery – several months of battery life but ?!?!.
