The TP-Link Kasa smart power strip is the best!! – I want to give the Kasa smart power strip its due as the best there is. I wrote a far different review less than a month ago panning the strip because while I had four of them working as intended within the Kasa app, the strips’ plugs were not recognized by the Alexa app. The technical support units of both Kasa and Amazon Alexa pointed fingers at each other. I was dubious of a promise by the latter that a remedy would be forthcoming within a week of my complaint. However, a very effective change was made to the Alexa app user interface and presto all of the plugs were recognized! I just bought a fifth Kasa strip to voice-control various lights and devices on a total of 30 plugs! Everything is working as intended. The TP-Link Kasa smart power strip is the best there is!

Love these “smart” power strips – This is the third one I’ve purchased. I like the usb features and that you can turn individual outlets on it on/off. It’s very easy to set up and use with Alexa and the Kasa app.

Energy Monitoring & Solid App – This my second of these to own. I have had it about a year. One of the things I love is the ability to monitor energy usage of the devices plugged. One monitors my Television, Satellite TV and a few small electronics. I have the other one on several battery chargers for my regular batteries and the batteries for my power tools. I have each plug socket on a schedule to only come on during the night when power costs are lower and only to run for a small amount of time per day. My batteries are always charged and I use less power to keep them fresh. The app is also really well designed. You can turn devices on or off manually from the app or look at the power consumption for the day, week, or month. It has never failed to stay connected to my wifi or to respond immediately to the app. I don’t use home voice controls so I don’t know about that.

Easy to setup and solid. Great power monitor features. – This is a great, well-made product. It’s very easy to setup using the Kasa phone app. The ability to name each plug and attach a photo is a nice touch. But one of the nicest features is the individual power-usage monitoring on each of the 6 outlets. You can easily look at the real-time power usage for each 0lug as well as its daily and monthly usage. 4 stars only because it would be great if it had a “power-cycle” feature for a plug (useful for when you need to reset power on the wireless router plugged into the device that the device uses to attach to the internet – if you power off the router, there will be no way to power it back on since connectivity is lost). One sort of clumsy work-around is to set a schedule to turn it off for a minute and then back on the next minute.

I have 4 of these and love them. – Love to be able to control each of the 6 outlets individually. Love the USB ports. My favorite power strip I’ve ever used.

It works fine – I wanted something that works with smart life. Not that I have anything particular against Kasa, and the only reason I even got THIS one was because I still have a few smart plugs that use the Kasa app. I just got rid of all the proprietary devices that needed their own app since it was such a pain to have half a dozen different programs. I’m at the point now where if something isn’t controllable via the Smart Life app, I won’t buy it.
