      It’s very colorful. – It seems old-fashioned, a relic of the days of hippies, but I like lava lamps. We’re talking the bubbly wax, not the sparkles or jellyfish kind. They’re relaxing to watch for a little bit. The problem is that there aren’t that many places in the area that still sell them. They want us to buy those sparkling ones or the jellyfish ones. Thankfully I found this one.

      not that bad, despite mixed reviews on this lava lamp…. – so, i used to have a lava lamp almost like this particular one from walmart and had it for several years… i found this one, and despite some very bad reviews, its not that bad so far…. yes, its kind of foggy on the outside with the painted glass which is made alot more different than the previous one i had…. i dont find too much wrong with it yet, but i have only had it for less than two days, so we shall see, but im not disapointed with it….. forgot to mention that even though the outside of the lamp is some sort of painted glass, that i can still see the lava in it pretty clearly….

      You’re taking a chance with the lava lamps here – After buying several lava lamps from Amazon, I have to say it’s a bit of a crapshoot. There seem to be two different designs from the same company. One which is the original classic design, and another that has been modified for, I can only assume, overseas shipping.

      It gave out after 3 years – not bad for these – I liked the rainbow metallic colors on the base and lid. Ultimately. After moving twice the lava in it just didn’t work right anymore. It also got a lot warmer than previous ones I’ve had- and was a medium sized lava lamp, not smaller or larger than I pictured it before buying. Overall- the longevity of the lamp was worth the money, the design was unique, and the price was reasonable.
