Don’t Let the Complex Look Intimidate You!!! Safety First!! – I must admit that this product has been in my sights for quite some time as a weekend woodworker and what I perceived as complexity is merely a matter of familiarity. Any power tool like a router, table saw or high rpm cutting tool is very dangerous and one wrong move can be catastrophic. I always thought I was ok with my generic push stick and fortunately being very mindful of safety I have not had any accidents. However recently I have read MANY stories of people losing appendages because of improper safety, and this product seems to come up again and again from people wishing they had used it. I purchased this when it went on sale since it was about $20 less than normal retail for my own piece of mind. It took me a couple of days to open the box and consume the instructions. I took the time to understand the ins & outs of all features and put it to work. I WILL NEVER work without this product again and as a matter of fact, will be expanding the accessories for it. I just feel safer using it on my table saw and router table. I am still careful but have a better sense of ease while using it. Nothing is foolproof, but the more barriers we can put up as woodworkers the more injury is less likely. I completely recommend this product for anyone using high rpm table-based cutting tools. I may get another one for large pieces of stock.

Do you use a table saw? Do you enjoy all of your fingers? This will protect them. – It’s plastic, that’s true. But it’s thick, heavy, high-quality plastic (and it’s yellow to boot, which studies have shown increases the strength of any material). It’s beautifully engineered, fits together well, and does exactly what it claims to do.

An absolute must have in your shop. – This has been a true game changer for my table saw. I wish these would come standard with the saw instead of the cheap push sticks that you actually get. Do not hesitate, buy one or two and you will be happy you did.

Safe – As I’m very old school, I was very used to using a radial arm saw for everything. A table saw scared me to death after a few very bad experiences. But after using the microjig a few times I was very confident in my abilities and felt very safe. No more work about cutting my fingers off. I love this tool.

Don’t Use Your Table Saw Without This! – This is a must-have accessory for safely using a table saw. Won’t rip smaller pieces without it!

This is all about safety, and the Gripper enhances that. – They call it a “Micro” jig for a reason. This is suitable for cutting small pieces and doing a lot of them. Since you have to completely set the jig up for every cut you make it is a lot of setup when you are making only one cut. Also you can only raise the blade a little bit so it sneaks in under the “roof” of the push block. I like my blade raised up higher so when it enters the wood it is pulling the stock down onto the table saw not right at you.

A little cumbersome – This is well made and very sturdy. I find it a little bit of a pain to use compared to a push stick because you have to set the grippers to miss the sawblade when working close to the fence. That is more me than the pushblock. It does keep your hand away from the blade and is sturdy so it has its place in my shop
