Great Stud Finder – I use this product for mounting X-ray units to studs in dental office walls and some are old construction with many remodeling jobs that were done over the years.This stud finder is much better than the one I had before and has worked very well.

Read the instructions first. – Read the instructions before using. I like the different settings for what you’re trying to find in the wall. My walls have a VERY heavy texture, so it doesn’t slide very well, but if I hover it just over the wall, it does a good job of locating studs and pipes/wires.

Easy to Use – I needed a new stud finder as my older, out dated one quit working. This stud finder was a big upgrade to my old one. The screen is big and clearly lets you know when your on top of a stud. As a bonus, I can mark center, left and right of the stud! Super helpful when hanging things to I know how much room I have. You can also select the size of the stud with ease. For example, I know in my house I have 1 1/2 inch studs but in my camper I have 1/2 inch studs. There is even an option for metal and AC detection! You wont go wrong with this stud finder. Easy to use and great to have around the house or workshop.

If you want to be completely sure about the stud location, you really need to use a small drill bit and test it out. (You can easily fill a small hole). Best to be sure though.
